Rope

Romantic and minimal, Rope was inspired by a box of old brass love-knots-- greasy, dingy and covered in filth-- I discovered in a warehouse. They were probably intended to be made into clip-on earrings, or perhaps buttons on a fancy pea-coat, but once I got the knots scrubbed cleaned and polished up to shine, I couldn't imagine them as anything other than pendants.

Loving the simple elegance and sentimental association of knots, I added a gold ring to the top of each highly-polished knot and strung the pendant on 18 inches of sterling silver chain. Pretty and just a touch preppy, Rope is a perfect sweetheart or best-friend present, plus it looks great with just about anything.
