Slow Out The Gate

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

The fact that this blog has been ready to go and waiting for my first entry for over a month is maybe not the best omen for its future, but oh well.  I’ve been busy.

And so I’m skipping the introductions.  Introductions are a snooze, anyway– better you should just get to know me over time.  I’m plunging right into the latest news.

Felt Club!  And Bazaar Bizarre!  Wahoo!  I’ll be selling at these two awesome holiday craft shows this winter.  I heard back from Baz Biz a little while ago, actually, and have just been slow out the gate about getting this here blog up and running.  Felt Club I just learned I was accepted to yesterday.  Yippee-dee!

So I’m excited that I’ll have a chance to sell in person both in SF and in LA this holiday season.  Fairs are the only time I get to interact with retail customers face-to-face.  Man, is it a rush!  Exhausting, but a rush.  It’s so gratifying to get to talk to the people who will end up wearing the things I made with my two hands and get their feedback.  I have to say, I’ve met really cool people at every indie craft fair I’ve done.  Hob-nobbing with neighboring vendors is another personal highlight.

Well, I think I need to figure out how this blog works, so I’m going to cut this post short.  More later!
